Today we will review the Premier TV apk. we’re doing something we haven’t done in a while: a first-look review of a brand new application. A developer reached out to me via email, saying, “Hello, I’ve released my own app. Could you review it? If you like it or think it’s worth sharing, would you share it? Thank you.”
As you know, I showcase the applications sent to me. My typical approach, which I’ll use today, is to install and test the app for the very first time with you. I’ll do my best to explain it and show you exactly what a first-time user experiences. Frankly, I don’t know yet if we’ll be able to access the content smoothly, but we’ll find out together.
Installation Process
I usually do these reviews on a Mi Box or a Nextstart Pro 4K. However, today I’ll use the mini PC we recently set up with Android. I’ll download the app, transfer it to a USB flash drive, and install it on the mini PC. You can do the same, or alternatively, you can install a browser on your device and download the file directly.
For this demonstration, I’ll use the browser method so you can see how it’s done on a standard device, like a TV box.
- Get a Browser: We start by going to the Google Play Store and searching for “Browser.” A fully remote-compatible browser app appears in the results. We install it. This app is great because it allows downloads and is designed for TV interfaces.
- Download the APK: I open the browser, enter the web address provided by the developer, and click the “APK Download” link. The file begins to download.
- A Quick Tip: Sometimes, this browser changes file extensions to “.1000”. If that happens, you’ll need to use a file explorer app (like “CX File Explorer”) to find the downloaded file, long-press on it, select “Rename,” and change the “.1000” extension back to “.apk”.
- Installation Warning: This is a crucial point. We are now outside the official app store. The browser we downloaded was vetted by Google, but this “Premier” app has not undergone any official review. Therefore, the responsibility for security falls entirely on you.
- If you’re installing this on a dedicated streaming box that doesn’t contain personal data, the risk is lower.
- If you plan to install it on a phone or tablet with banking apps and social media accounts, you must scan the file with a trusted antivirus program and ensure your device is protected. Always be cautious.
First Impressions & Live TV Testing
Premier TV APK installed very quickly. However, the moment I launched it, a full-screen ad started playing with no skip button, forcing me to watch it until the end.
The app’s main interface has several sections, including “Live TV.” This is particularly important for me and many others living abroad. Often, we cannot access our home country’s channels through official means due to geo-restrictions. Even paid subscriptions I have, like D-Smart or TRT Go, are unusable outside Turkey without a specific VPN, which I don’t have configured on my box.
So, let’s test the Live TV streams:
- I tried TRT and it worked.
- I tried Habertürk (HT) and it also worked.
- I tested about 7-8 channels in total. Only one failed to load, which is a high success rate.
The Ad Experience: While channel surfing (“zapping”), an ad appears every 3-4 channels. These subsequent ads are shorter than the initial one and can be skipped after about 10 seconds. However, the ad frequency is noticeable.
The app has decent remote control support, and I could easily change channels using my keyboard’s arrow keys. The interface also allows you to switch categories by pressing left/right.
Testing Series & Movies (VOD)
Premier TV APK Now, let’s check the “Series” and “Movies” sections.
- Series Section: I clicked on a series. An info screen appeared, but when I hit “Watch,” I got a “Loading Error” message. The interface in this section felt a bit slow and clunky. When I finally managed to get the episode list to load and clicked on an episode, it cycled between “Connecting,” “Loading Error,” and “100% Loaded” but never actually played. This could be due to my location.
- Movies Section: I randomly selected a movie. It also showed a “Loading Error,” but the player window appeared anyway, and the movie started playing! Another movie I tried opened even faster. This inconsistency is puzzling.
A Major Discovery: The Search Function
The lists in the Series and Movies sections seem limited, showing only about 12-13 titles with no option to scroll for more. However, I decided to test the search function.
- I searched for “Matrix,” which wasn’t in the list, and it found it.
- I searched for “Jurassic,” and it also found results.
- I searched for “Friends,” and it found all seasons and episodes. When I clicked on an episode, it played despite showing an initial error.
This means the app’s content library is much larger than what is displayed in the main lists. The search function is essential for finding content.
Final Verdict & Recommendations
Pros:
- High Success Rate for Premier TV apk Live TV: Excellent for accessing Turkish channels abroad.
- Vast Content Library: The search function reveals a huge catalog of series and movies.
- Functional: When it works, the playback quality is good.
Cons:
- Aggressive Ad Frequency: The high number of ads, especially upon opening and while browsing, is the biggest drawback.
- Buggy VOD Interface: The Series and Movies sections are slow, unresponsive, and plagued with confusing error messages (even when content eventually plays).
- Poor Content Discovery: The main lists are very limited, forcing users to rely on search to find most content.
Conclusion:
If you can tolerate the ads and are primarily interested in Premier TV APK Live TV, this app is a solid option due to its high channel availability. For Video-on-Demand (VOD), it’s functional but requires patience and heavy use of the search feature.
The developer has a great foundation with a strong content library. However, to be a top-tier app, they must improve the user interface, reduce the ad frequency, and fix the bugs in the VOD sections.
I encourage you to try the app for yourself and share your experiences in the comments below. As always, if you’d like to support the channel, please subscribe, like the video, and share it with friends.
